I tried before and went 3.5 years until the person I really oved left. My life fell apart then until recently went outpatient treatment. I went because I had a drinking problem, the DUI was just the intervention. So now I need to get back in contact with my kids again. In the mean time went back to school and to get my degree in computer information systems. I miss my kids everyday, tryin to tell myself it ain't no use. But that little voice keeps says, "Don't give up." So I keep tryin and take one day at a time. So I want to leave with "What I do TODAY is important BECAUSE I am exchanging a day of my LIFE for it." It sounds like you have a lot going on for so early in sobriety! I also went back to school when I first got sober. I can appreciate how stressful that can be.
